My son woke up with a swelling in both the upper and lower eyelids.

When my son woke up yesterday morning, he had swelling in both the upper and lower eyelids. But there is no redness or itchiness in his eyes apart from the puffiness. He has a pair of spectacles and has been complaining about headaches for the past few days. Is it due to any fluctuation in the power of the specs? My son has a power of -4.5 in one eye and -3.2 in another. The swelling even reduced by the evening, and by night he seemed to be completely fine. But the same thing happened the next day. I am getting anxious. Please help.

Swelling is common when it comes to people having high power in their eyes. There is nothing to get worried about. However, get advised by an ophthalmologist since the eyes are a very delicate part of the body. Your son’s case might be a condition of conjunctivitis; it is possible that he might be having allergic blepharo-conjunctivitis.
